Marion Leonard Obituary Marion Alice Leaonard, age 93, of Brainerd passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024. A Celebration of Marions Life will be held at 11AM on Monday, February 19, 2024 at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday and burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Brainerd. Marion was born to Martin and Esther (Greenlee) Besmehn on November 3, 1930 in Echo, MN. She was employed by Brainerd School District as a cook for many years. Marion liked to treat neighbors and friends with baked goodies. Her Christian faith was extremely important to her. Marion was married to the love of her life, Albert Leonard, for 72 years before his passing in 2020. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Marion is survived by her five children, Gordy (Maia) Leonard, Linda (Tommy) Quam, Vicki (Jerry) Shogren, Cindy (Kevin) Weber, Debbie Crochet; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for her "adopted" daughters, Cindy yeager and Jenny Salvevold; and many nieces, nephews, and distant relatives.
