Marjorie Jordan Obituary Marjorie Mae Jordan Marjorie M. Jordan 97, of South Long Lake, Brainerd heard the final call of the loons July 23, 2018. She was born in Two Harbors, MN, graduated in 1939 from Brainerd HS. Marjorie married James Jordan March 11, 1943, three months after they met. Proceeded in death by parents Mary & Ragner Westerlund, husband James Jordan, daughter Treasure (Ralph) Bechtol and sons baby Tony & Marty Jordan. Survived by daughter Andrea (James) Walker, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She worked 20 years at the Red Owl grocery store, was a member of St. Francis church, St. Joan of Arc guild, VFW, American Legion, and the Eagles. She volunteered with Crow Wing Concerned Citizens, helped organize The Center meals on wheels, Crow Wing Food Co-Op, and was a AAA 4-H leader for 10 years. Her and Jim loved motorcycles and were members of the Tri City cycle club for 20 years. She was an avid hunter until she lost her sight and made 20 visits to her daughters home in Alaska. From the age of 10 she enjoyed the cabin her parents built in the 1930s, where she later retired. She loved every aspect of life, her family and had a strong faith. A celebration of life will be at 11:00 AM Monday July 30th at St. Francis Church, Brainerd with a viewing one-hour prior. Following interment at Evergreen Cemetery, there will be a gathering of friends and family and a luncheon will be served in the church basement.
