Marlys Zelenak Obituary Marlys J. Zelenak, age 82, resident of Brainerd, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Good Samaritan Society - Bethany. Marlys was born on April 29, 1934 in Wright County, Minn., to Ray and Esther (Ruud) Wadman. She was united in marriage to Charles Zelenak for 58 years. Marlys was employed with Honeywell for 39 years. She lived in Brooklyn Park, retiring to the Brainerd area in 1997. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. Survivors include her husband, Charles; daughter, Cindy (Paul) Brandvold of Maple Grove; son, John (Holly) Zelenak of Brooklyn Park; 3-grandchildren, Jackie, Angie and Kevin; 8-great grandchildren, Jessen, Phoenix, Jayven, Lincoln, Lily, Jack, Elizabeth and Kirstein; 3-brothers, Denny, Gene (Eleanor) and Larry Wadman; 4-sisters, Marilyn (Clyde) Keeley, Mary (Ron) Meyer, Carol (Bob) Muller, Patsy (Jerry) Hoikka. Preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Lanny and Donny and 2 grandchildren, Jenny and Brian. Visitation will from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
