Mary Starr Obituary Mary Melvina Starr, age 96, resident of Brainerd, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Good Samaritan Society Woodland. Mary was born on September 24, 1922 in Pillager to Arthur and Vera (Selvous) Palmer. Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Hines, Joyce Oberfoell and Diane (Butch) Stephenson; son, Jeffery (Daisy) Starr; sister, Sharon Rindahl and brother, Myron Palmer; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Vera Palmer; son, Jerry Grondin, daughters, Barbara Shaffer and Carol Wilson; brothers, James Palmer, Richard Palmer, and Herbert Palmer; sisters, Alvina Britton and Cecil Coolidge. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd with Pastor Barb Christenson officiating. Visitation will begin the hour prior to services.
