Melvyn Martin Obituary Melvyn Arnold Martin, age 81, resident of Brainerd, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Harmony House in Brainerd. Melvyn was born on July 14, 1932 in Brainerd to Carl and Eva (Doucette) Martin. He was employed with Control Data and Honeywell. Survivors include his daughter, Melanie McElderry; 3-granddaughters, Melinda, Jennifer and Kristen; brothers, John (Margaret) Martin, Edward (Jean) Martin and Charles (Joann) Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Joan. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. Visitation will begin the hour before services. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery in Coon Rapids, Minnesota.
