Obituary

Paula Tollefson Obituary Paula Marie Tollefson, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 4th, 2024. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 10th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter. Family and friends are invited to gather for 45 minutes prior to the service. Paula was born to Irvin and Rony (Boyes) Tollefson on July 25, 1966 in Brainerd. She graduated from Brainerd High School in 1984. Paula could do it all; from creating Christmas crafts to changing her car battery, singing in the acapella choir, and whipping up amazing meals in the kitchen. Her days were most often spent with her best friend and longtime partner, Marcia. Marcia will fondly remember hearing Reba McIntire sing Amazing Grace (loudly) to wake Paula every morning, and Miranda Lampert sing "Time to Get a Gun" to alert her of every phone call (again, loudly). She was a lover of many things; her nephews, grandsons, spending time on the lake, P!NK, and yelling at the Minnesota Vikings while wearing her favorite color purple. She was proud of her 17 years of sobriety. Paula deserves to be remembered as a brave and courageous woman who loved to laugh. She is survived by her parents; Irvin and Rony; partner of 20 years, Marcia Hendrix; brother, Paul (Dede) Tollefson; nephews, Dylon (Brittney) Tollefson and Cooper (Mara) Tollefson; grandsons, Jayden and Gavin Hendrix; Marcias children, Sara Hendrix, Anna (Dan Gerber) Hendrix and Erika Hendrix; her dog, Gracie; and many other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Hilda and Roy Boyes; paternal grandmother, Genevieve Nephew; uncle, John Boyes and many other cousins, aunts and uncles.
