Pearl Groff Obituary Pearl F. Groff, age 99, resident of Brainerd, died Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Edgewood Vista Senior Living. Pearl was born June 5, 1910 in Bridgewater, Iowa to Alvia and Blanche (Suddith) Starkey. Pearl married Frank J. Groff in 1947. They purchased the Twin Pines Resort on Lake Mille Lacs in 1947, which they operated for 27 years. Frank died in 1992. Pearl was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd. Surviving is her step-son Ronald Groff. Funeral Services will be 2 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Edgewood Vista Chapel in Brainerd with visitation at the chapel hour before services. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
