Peggy Lorenson Obituary Peggy (Geotz) Lorenson, 85, of Crosby, passed away with family by her side on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 3rd at Emily Wesleyan Church. Service will begin at 11:00am with a luncheon to follow. Peggy Lou was born April 23, 1939, in Emily, the daughter of LeRoy and Juanita (Foote) Wiener. After high school, Peggy dedicated her life to being a homemaker and raising children. In addition to her own children, she spent 47 years as a foster parent during which time she cared for countless others. She enjoyed baking and cooking. She also liked to work with ceramics, especially porcelain dolls, as well as flower gardening. She will be forever missed by her children, Donald (Christy) Smith, of Deerwood, William (Erica) Smith, of Crosby, Arne Smith, of Crosby, Karen Hoheisel, of New London, WI, and Abby (Mike Schmitt) Geotz, of Ironton; son-in-law, Richard Ewsichek, of Cleveland, OH; step-daughters, Bambi (Martin) Copeland, of Sandord, FL, Laurie (Jim) Odden, of Maple Lake, and Robbie (Luke) Oleltenhruns, of Hutchison; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; sisters, Donna Martz, of Emily and Evyone (Ernie) Ruschmier, of Aitkin; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Geotz; second husband, Arnold Lorenson; daughters, Sherrie Ewsichek and Renee Kostohyyz; and siblings, Shirley Anderson, Bill Wiener, and Karen Strum.
