Pelagia Chisholm Obituary Pelagia A. "Pal" Chisholm, age 86, resident of Brainerd, died Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Elmwood House in Brainerd. Pelagia was born on August 13, 1925 in Independence, Wisconsin to Vincent B. and Katherine M. (Bienusa) Severynske. She attended Sacred Heart School in Staples and moved to Brainerd in 1943. She married John J. Chisholm on October 9, 1947 in Brainerd. She worked in the Super Valu grocery store bakery for 18 years. She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, a 50-year member of St. Rita's Guild, a member of the St. Francis choir and the Eagles Auxiliary. She is survived by her children: Kathleen (Gene) Worms of Brainerd; John "Jack" (Chere) Chisholm of Brainerd; Lana (Brian) Avery of Ramsey, MN; Mark (Jean) Chisholm of Maplewood, MN; Michael (Jean) Chisholm of Baxter; and Caroline (Michael) Brown of Brainerd; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; her sister, Theresa (LeRoy) Blahosky of Baxter, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1997; her parents, her brother, Raymond; and her sister, Dorothy Weishalla. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at St. Francis Catholic Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to services. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
