Randall Reither Obituary Randall L. Reither, 82, of Brainerd, passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
Randall was born on July 26, 1942, in Aitkin, MN. He was the oldest of 3 children born to Kenneth Reither and Marjorie (Anderson) Norum. He graduated from Washington High School (Brainerd) in 1960. He married Karen Yonke in 1964 and went on to have 2 children, Trevor and Alan.
Randall worked for Middleton Ford in Crosby, MN for 5 years out of high school before moving on to Potlach in 1965 where he stayed for the next 35 years. He was an avid woodworker, and lifelong tinkerer. He was happiest in his shop working on his wood lathe or building something just to prove he could. He enjoyed camping, motorcycling, and traveling. He was involved in Northern Lights Motorcycle Club, American Legion and the local wood workers guild.
Randall was in the Army Reserves for 6 years and served with the 367th Engineering Battalion in Brainerd. He did his basic training at Fort Leonard Wood and achieved the rank of Specialist 5.
Randall is survived by his sons Trevor (Itta) Reither of Oak Grove, MN and Alan (Christine) Reither of Oakdale, MN; Four grandchildren, Karson Reither of Oakdale, MN, Kaitlin (Rob) Pohren of Dubuque, IA, Dalton Reither of Whittemore, IA, and Anna Reither of Ames, IA; Two great-grandchildren, Breckynn Hanson of Oakdale, MN and Maggie Pohren of Dubuque, IA; Brother Leeland (Laurie) Reither of Apple Valley, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife Karen Reither, father Kenneth Reither, mother Marjorie Norum, and brother Barry Reither.
A gathering will be held at Nelson Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd on Thursday, June 19th from 5-7pm.
