Reginald Dear Obituary Reginald "Reggie" Dear, age 72 of Shoreview, died on Sunday, October 10, 2021. A memorial service will be held at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd, on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to gather for one hour prior to the service. Reggie was born on November 6, 1948, to James and Norma (Britson) Dear in Minneapolis. He graduated from Burnsville High School in 1966 and attended Dunwoody Institute in the early 1970s. Reggie worked for Sara Lee/Metz baking for 38 years. He found many joys in life, including dogs, tubing, biking, golfing, baking, and going site-seeing. He was passionate about studying and talking about world history and his favorite pass times were watching the Wheel of Fortune and listening to financial talk radio. He is survived by his mom, Norma Dear; brother, Brian (Julie Dahleen) Dear; sister, Donna Tovsen; and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, James Dear. Arrangements are being completed by Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
