Richard Aykens Obituary Richard A. Aykens, age 84 of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2022. Known for his love of his hometown Brainerd, vintage cars needing a little TLC, a well-played golf match followed by a beer, a thick slice of bacon from Thielens and pets with unusual names, Richard will be missed by his wife Joan, Joans family - particularly Pat Rankin and his wife Mary, his children Pam (Tom) Kerber, Beth (Joe) Simms, Leah Sworm, Peter (Jenny) Aykens, his step-children Britta (Bob) Jicks, Pete (Jena) Peterson, and his many grandchildren. A celebration of Richards life will be held on September 30 at 2:00 at Riverside Union Church, 3435 County Road 45, Brainerd. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
