Richard Probst Obituary Richard Warren Probst, 69, passed away on December 1, 2024, at Bethany Good Samaritan Society in Brainerd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11am, at St. Andrews Catholic Church. Family and friends are invited to gather an hour prior for a visitation. Luncheon to follow. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Richard was born on November 8, 1955, to parents Warren & Helen (Christiansen) Probst, in Brainerd, MN. Richard graduated from Bemidji State with a Psychology Degree. He also graduated from Central Lakes College with an accounting degree. He worked at the Brainerd State Hospital. Rick enjoyed being outdoors fishing, traveling, & camping. He always enjoyed being alone in nature. He would pack up and fill his car full and take off on solo-camping trips for two weeks at a time. Rick also enjoyed American Indian History. More than anything, Rick loved and cherished his time with his son, David. He loved teaching David how to fish, and they enjoyed playing video games and watching Star Trek together. Ricks ex-wife, Dedith, her husband, and their son, David, were pivotal in caring for Richard until his passing. They remained good friends and have many great memories together. Rick is survived by his son, David Probst; sister, Sandra Probst (Lee VandeWeerd); brother, Thomas (Gina) Probst. He is preceded in death by his parents Warren & Helen Probst.
