Robert 'Bob' Belisle, Sr. Obituary Robert "Bob" M. Belisle, Sr., 86, of Brainerd, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Essentia Health St. Jospehs Medical Center. Interment with Military Honors will take place at NOON, Monday, October 9, 2023, at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley. Bob was born June 11, 1937, in Duluth, the son of Raymond and Irma (Culliton) Belisle. In 1955, he graduated from Brainerd High School. He enlisted in the US Navy and served for three years. He enjoyed his career working as a baker for Super Valu, first in Brainerd then in Richfield. He was a member of the Brainerd Country Club for many years and was a skilled golfer. He could be heard often repeating the advice of his father: "Play the course, not your opponent." He was a fan of all Minnesota sports teams. Bob loved to be outside; content to just walk the trails during the Patridge Hunt. He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Karen "Kiki" (Lance Johnston) Belisle; son, Robert Belisle; former wife and lifelong friend, Nancy Marlow; five grandchildren, Michael, Breilla, Jake, Alec, and Autumn; two great-grandchildren, Kurt and Will; brother, Tom (Lynn) Belisle; and other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
