Robert Esler Obituary Robert "Bob" Charles Esler, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones.
Bob was born April 9th, 1946, to Dorothy and Merten Esler. Bob served in the United States Navy from 1963-1967.
Bob had a love for old country western music and had a wonderful voice which he shared on karaoke nights. Bob also loved spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and camping. He was happiest driving and road hunting with his brother Ed through the woods of northern Minnesota. He also enjoyed working and selling campers at Pleasureland the last few years. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and incredible kindness to everyone.
He married the love of his life, Penny on September 10th, 2016.
Bob will be missed by his wife, Penny; daughter, Denise Esler; sons, Charles (Carrie) Esler, Dennis (Tina) Esler, and David (Amanda) Esler; stepchildren, Ronda (Joel) Jorgenson, Rene Colwell (Steve), and Rori Johnson; siblings, Marilyn Davis, Gayle (Todd) Syrdal, and Ed (Lori) Esler; and good friends, Dennis and Ginger Brown; grandchildren, Audrey, Harrison, Joey, and Dylan; step-grandchildren, Kyle, Jacob, Terran, Ayla, Brady, and Carsen; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Merten Esler; stepfather, Richard Weiss; and infant son.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd. Family and friends are invited to gather for one hour prior to the service.
