Aug 1, 1934 — Jul 16, 2026
Robert Billman, age 91, died on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Essentia Health – St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.

Bob was born to Arthur and Clara (Lathrop) Billman on August 1, 1934 in Brainerd. His dad taught him the value of hard work very early in life. After school, Bob enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as an aircraft mechanic for four years. When he returned to Brainerd he worked various construction jobs before beginning his 33 year long career at Potlatch. Bob was a skilled carpenter, this was evident in the homes he built and the rental properties he owned and maintained. In his free time, he was happiest when he was able to fish, hunt, tell stories, and drive around the country side. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, and make you laugh. He was a wonderful man and loved his family more than anything.
Bob is survived by two daughters, Becky (Jerry) Hummel and Lori (Bruce) Thramer; 21 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren with one on the way; nine great-great grandchildren; brothers, Earl and Donald Billman and many other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his wives, Verla M. Billman and Irene H. Billman; sons, Robert G Billman and Lonnie Viehauser; daughters, Vicky Johnson and Kerry Gabrelcik; parents; four brothers, Lynn, Harry, Clarence, Ray; and two sisters, Margaret Fitch and Irene Ebinger.
