Robert Selzler Obituary Robert J. Selzler, Sr., formerly of Idaho, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Essentia Health St. Josephs Medical Center in Brainerd. Robert was born July 31, 1942, in Towner, ND, the son of Baldzer and Catherine (Miller) Selzler. After high school, Robert went to work for Potlatch and spent most of the time at their plywood mill in Idaho. He was a kind, gentle man who enjoyed hiking in the mountains, fishing, watching Westerns. He also was a history buff and was enthralled with the many things on the History or Discovery Channels. He will be missed by his children, Robert "Bob" (Chris) Selzler, Jr., Kevin Selzler, Barbara (Robert) Altman, Bonnie (Marty) Martinez, Brian Selzler, and Kenneth Paul (Margot) Selzler; 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; ex-wife of 50 years, Maxine Selzler; siblings, Marian Evans, Rose Peterson, Marcy Campbell, Richard Selzler, and Jeannie Harris; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Pete, Leon, Eugene, Caroline, Larry, Donny, and Ellie. A Celebration of Roberts Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 17, 2022, at Nelson Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services. There will be a lunch and reception following the service. Interment at Baxter City Cemetery will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
