Ronald DeRosier Obituary Ronald Lucien DeRosier, 87, of Fort Ripley, passed away Tuesday, February 6th , 2024 at Essentia Hospital in Brainerd. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at St. Mathias Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9:30 until the time of services at church and burial will be in St. Mathias Cemetery. Ronald was born September 30th,1936 in Fort Ripley, MN to Lucien & Mabel (Avery) DeRosier. On August 6th ,1956 he married Audrey (Nichols) at St. Mathias church. They were married for 37 years and blessed with five children before Audreys passing in 1993, then later married Marie Wilkins on September 17, 1999. One of Ronalds first jobs was helping at his dads plumbing business; he went on to work for Dell Howard Construction until his retirement. Ronald was an active member at church and in the St. Mathias community. When he wasnt busy farming in the summer months you could always find him behind the home plate umpiring at the local softball games and during the fall spending time hunting and really enjoying the trips to Montana. Along with teaching the grandchildren his special trades, which will be treasured forever. Ronald is survived by his five children: Garnette Bordwell, Jack DeRosier, Kris (Todd) Sandman, Jeff (Julie) DeRosier, Roxanne (Bob) Koering; stepchildren, Tina Tomberlin; Christine Wilkins; 13 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; siblings: Lois Ehmke, Chuck DeRosier & Gerri Villnow. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Audrey; his second wife, Marie; infant son; son-in-law, Dick Bordwell; grandson, Jamie Bordwell; sisters; Opal, Charlotte, Teresa; brothers, Peter, Howard, & DeWayne.
