Rose Mary Mogensen (Fleischhaker), age 90, of Brainerd, went to her resting place in heaven on Friday, December 10, 2025. Rose had been residing at Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin. She was born on November 5, 1935, to Henry and Catherine (Veit) Fleischhaker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church. A visitation will be on Monday, December 29th from 4:30-6:30 p.m. with a prayer service and Rosary at 6:30. Family and friends are also invited to gather at the church for one hour prior to Mass on Tuesday.
Rose married Edward Mogensen on July 11, 1953. They made their home on a small farm in Crow Wing County. Together, they raised six children: Diane (Jack) Britton, Joseph (Karen) Mogensen, Susan (Craig) Maske, Nancy (Duane) Laughton, Joan (Mike) Olsen, and John (Brenda) Mogensen. Rose was a special person to 13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Rose was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd, Life memberships in the VFW 1816 Garrison Auxiliary, Purple Heart Auxiliary and DAV Auxiliary. She was in the VFW Auxiliary Color Guard for many years. A member of the St. Agatha Church guild and President of Our Lady of Fatima Rosary Makers Club.
She will be missed by her family and friends. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; son, Joseph; son-in-law, Jack; granddaughter, Alexis; and her parents.
