Ruth Forseth Obituary Ruth Ann Forseth, age 78, of Merrifield, MN, passed away on Jan. 24, 2025, after a long battle with Alzheimers. Ruth was born on June 25, 1946, in Brainerd, MN. She graduated from Brainerd High School in 1964 and later moved to the Twin Cities with her girlfriends. She worked as a bookkeeper/accountant at various companies, including Continental Baking Co., Dexon, and Northwood Turf & Power. Ruth was a loving wife, mom, and grandma. She was a Minnesota sports fan. She loved her Vikings and the rivalry with her husband and his Packers. She enjoyed bowling, golf, horseshoes, playing cards and traveling. But mostly, she cherished spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She was a people person to her core and the epitome of 'go with the flow.' She wasnt a regular momshe was a cool momand she will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by her husband, Douglas; parents, Hans and Bernice; brothers, Lee, Lynn, Neil, and Keith; and sister, Avis Pixley. Survived by her children, Dave (Theresa) Myos and Dayna Myos; grandchildren, Isaac, Ethan, Paige, and Henry Myos; brothers, Blair (Cecilia), Otis, and Terry (Jeannie); sisters, Sharon Haynal and Janice Walker; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, at Nelson-Doran, 202 Eighth Ave NE, Brainerd, MN. Luncheon to follow the service.
