Stephen Johnson Obituary STEPHEN W. JOHNSON, 47, resident of Merrifield, MN, went to meet his Lord after a long battle with a very rare pancreatic cancer on Sunday, April 21, 2013. Please visit Steve's caringbridge page: SteveJohnsonMN. He was born in Minneapolis March 25, 1966 to William H. and Elaine (White) Johnson. Early in his career he was employed by Midwest Patrol in Minneapolis. During his employment in security he trained in Behavioral health. He then discovered an interest in real estate and became an agent and broker and started his own business. A few years ago he moved up to Brainerd to aid in the care for his father and found a job at essentia Health/ St. Joseph's Hospital. Steve had many interests including NASCAR, fishing and woodworking. He dearly loved his dogs Chester and lady and his ducks "C" and "K". He was the founder of LMFKC fishing club.. Surviving are his mother Elaine Johnson of Merrifield; 3-sisters Susan Schefelbein, Sharon Johnson, and Sara Habib all of Minneapolis; 5 nieces and nephews Jeremy (lindsey) Johnson, Ben (Dani Dokken) Johnson, Michael, Chelsea and Olivia Georges; 2 great nieces Grace and Isabel; Special friends Jeff Johnson, Dan peterson, Dale Kramer and Jodi Schouweiler and many others; Aunts, uncles, cousins and their families, He was preceded in death by his father William and his grandparents. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday with a Memorial Service at 11 :00 AM Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Church of the Nazarene, 16549 Johnson road North, brainerd with Pastor Ron Keysor officiating. Luncheon at the church will follow the service.
