Thomas Mattsen Obituary Thomas "Tommy" LeRoy Mattsen, 39, of Brainerd, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016 at his home. He was born in Crosby, MN on August 10, 1977 to Brenda Sue Mattsen and Thomas LeRoy Rono. Thomas worked as a mechanic, he was employed with Kennedy Transmission and Big Woods Timber. He is survived by 2 daughters, Emma Jeanne Mattsen and Christina; his step father, Dale Addison and 2 step sons, Riley Peterson and Patrick Crimmins; his mother, Brenda Mattsen; 2 sisters, Amanda Mattsen and Kayla Addison-Jensen; 5 brothers, Greg Rono, Jason Mattsen, Shane Addison, Tyler Addison and Martin Doust; 3 nieces, Jadine Spencer, Ava Rose Addison and Justice Mattsen; 7 nephews, Toni Peterson, Shaun Mattsen, Kyle Spencer, Blake Jensen, Nathan Jensen, Isiah Mattsen and Jack Mattsen. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas LeRoy Rono; uncle Harley Rono and his grandparents, Sharon and Gordon Mattsen and Alta and Emil Rono. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd and will continue the hour before services at the church on Monday.
