Verna May Miller, age 88, of Brainerd, passed away peacefully at home on November 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Verna was born on October 5, 1937, in Palmer, IA, to Christopher and Emma (Rieter) Cirks. Verna married Roger Miller in 1958, and they shared 67 wonderful years together. Raising three children and building a life of warmth, faith, and joy. She loved the Lord deeply and enjoyed watercolor painting, golf, travel, and walking in nature.

Verna is survived by her devoted husband, Roger; children, Susan (Mark) Skinner and Robert Miller; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie; her parents; and her siblings.

Verna's funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa, with Pastor Drew Bakken officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Lutheran Church of the Cross or Samaritan's Purse.
