Violet Meyer Obituary Violet Elizabeth Meyer, 84, of Fort Ripley, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, at Essentia Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. Violet was born on October 8, 1940, in Brainerd, MN, to Alex Hughes and Gertrude (Perlinger) Hughes. She is survived by her children: Roger (Brenda) Meyer, Wanda (Dave) Savig, Margie (Curtis) Thesing, Rose (Herman Jr.) Hines, Sharon Carr, Lisa (Brian) Weiss, and Debra Meyer (Adam Daley); 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Alex (Kathleen) Hughes, Yvonne (Homer) Cronquist, Alexia Cripps, Connie (John) Wonsik, and Patricia Hughes. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin Meyer; her son, Wayne Meyer; daughter-in-law, Nancy Meyer; son-in-law, Charles Carr; great-granddaughter, Corinne Travers; and sister, Audrey Tester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 11am at the St. Mathias Catholic Church in Fort Ripley. A visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass at the church and on Thursday, March 13th from 4-7pm with a prayer service at 6:30pm at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd.
