Anthony Hugh Hoffman, age 40, of Minneapolis and formerly of Brainerd, died on Monday, August 1, 2022, at his home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 8 from 4-7:00 p.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home and for one hour prior to Mass at the church.
Anthony was born to Kevin and Jennifer (Olson) Hoffman on April 27, 1982. He grew up in Brainerd and graduated from Brainerd High School in 2000. After earning his bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University, he spent his career in the insurance industry. Anthony would go to the ends of the earth to see the people he loved happy. He was a vibrant and compassionate man while remaining calm and meticulously organized. His entire world revolved around his daughter, Lylia. His biggest passion and priority was thinking up new adventures to experience with her. If he wasn’t at the zoo, pool or park with Lylia, he could be found watching sports, spending time with his friends he made in high school or college or being with family.
Anthony is survived by his daughter, Lylia Hoffman; sister, Ahnna (Jason) Wing; niece, Molly Wing; nephews, Cameron and Dylan Wing; maternal grandmother, Catherine Olson; special friend, Kelly May; and an abundance of aunts, uncles, other family members, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kevin and Jennifer Hoffman; paternal grandparents, Hugh and Virginia Hoffman; maternal grandfather, Robert E. Olson; uncle, Jeff Hoffman and cousin, Evan T. Olson.
