Bernard Zebro

Bernard Ralph Zebro, 88 of Brainerd, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Carefree Living in Brainerd.

          A memorial service for Bernie will be held on July 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd. Interment will be held at a later date.

          Bernie was born June 15, 1932 in NE Minneapolis, to Bernard Sr. and Catherine (Kubik) Zebro. Bernie worked alongside his father in the Zebro Cement business until his father’s passing. He continued the business with his sons, and it is now on its fourth generation. He enjoyed his weekends away at his cabin (home) fishing and hunting for many years. Family and friends were always welcome to fish, swim and pontoon. The 4th of July parades were a highlight for all. Bernie always strived for the biggest catch, but his grandkids enjoyed the sunnies the best. 

          Bernie lost the love of his life on April 7, 2020 after 56 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Sr. and Catherine; and stepson, Douglas. 

          Bernard is survived by his children; Steve Zebro, Tom (Jaci) Zebro, Greg Zebro, Cathy (Jim) Murphy, Cindy (Bob) Lammi, Pam (Brent) Harris, and Chris Zebro; step children, Marcia Sable, Sherry (Tom) Garvey, Trudy (Greg) Blake and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

          Arrangements are being completed by Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
