Caroline Mary Brezinka

Caroline "Carol" M. Brezinka passed away on May 14th at Essentia Health in Brainerd at the age of 76, following a brief illness. She was born in Sebring, Florida on August 27, 1943.

Carol graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis in 1961. She married Richard Brezinka in 1962 and had 3 children. Richard preceeded her in death in 1980.  She began a new life with David Biorn on Valentine's Day in 1983. Together they found adventure traveling the country and even the world, while having home bases in Minnesota and Florida.

Carol is survived by her loving partner of 37 years, David Biorn; children, Richard Brezinka (Peggy) of Inver Grove Heights, MN,  Gayle Niedenfuer of Tampa, FL, Michelle Vowels (Carl) of Dousman, WI, and Mike Biorn (Vickie) of Ramsey, MN; sister Jeanette Lashinski of Ramsey, MN; grandchildren Angela Niedenfuer, Kaley Biorn, David Vowels, Derek Vowels, and Curtis Biorn.

Carol was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Brezinka; parents, Gordon and Alice Kalas; son Curtis Biorn; brother-in-law Jerry Lashinski; and brother Daniel Kalas;  

A burial will be held at The Church of the Epiphany in Coon Rapids, MN at a later date.
