Charles "Chuck" J. Bible

Charles “Chuck” J. Bible, age 82, of Brainerd passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Good Samaritan Society – Woodland in Brainerd.  Funeral services will be Thursday, November 9th at 11AM at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services.  Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Brainerd.

Chuck was born July 11, 1941 in Staples to Clement and Ellen (Atkinson) Bible.  He is a Brainerd graduate; following graduation Chuck attended Staples Technical College (CLC-Staples) for Welding.  Following his certification, Chuck worked for the papermill until 1973.  He married Patricia Bentley on June 1, 1973; this love started with a night of bowling and one slow dance.  Following their marriage the couple moved to Big Falls, MN where Chuck kept the children busy with horses, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, hunting, and fishing.  The family then moved to St. Paul where Chuck worked at McQueen Equipment until his retirement in 2003.  Chuck and Pat found their retirement home back where it all started in Brainerd.   Chuck was stubborn, bull-headed, funny, loved a good polka two step, and could always be seen with his cowboy hats and boots ready.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 50 years Pat; children, Mary Savage, Tom Savage, Donald Bible, Teresa Burggraff, Beth Schmidt, Scott Bible, Darron Bible, Kim Laska; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Jerome Bible; cousins, friends, and distant relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clement and Ellen Bible; and granddaughter, Samantha Burggraff.
