David Havisto Obituary

David Ray Havisto, 63, of Nisswa, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the St. Cloud Hospital.  A celebration of Dave’s Life will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Lum Park Pavilion in Brainerd.

Dave was born September 3, 1957, in Aitkin, the son of Alvin and Norma (Thomas) Havisto.  Following his education, Dave went to work.  He was a machinist for Nor-Tech for almost 20 years.  He was a loving, sentimental man who adored his family.  He enjoyed teaching his children how to fish, shooting a game of Horse with them, and getting a good hand in 500.  The family spent a lot of time at Washburn Lake Campground near Remer.  Dave could always count on his Wanda to fulfill his sweet-tooth cravings.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife of 41 years, Wanda; children, Ruth Rathman, Laura Boyer, and Paul Richards; grandchildren, Aaron and David Boyer, Chantelle Miller, Rebeccah Richards, Nathan Richards, Evan Richards, Jacob McDonald, Taylor Hansen, and Austin Bennett; five great-grandchildren; brother, Bob (Judy) Havisto; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bucky; and sister, Joanne.
