Dave was born September 3, 1957, in Aitkin, the son of Alvin and Norma (Thomas) Havisto. Following his education, Dave went to work. He was a machinist for Nor-Tech for almost 20 years. The family spent a lot of time at Washburn Lake Campground near Remer. Dave could always count on his Wanda to fulfill his sweet-tooth cravings.
He is loved and will be missed by his wife of 41 years, Wanda; children, Ruth Rathman, Laura Boyer, and Paul Richards; grandchildren, Aaron and David Boyer, Chantelle Miller, Rebeccah Richards, Nathan Richards, Evan Richards, Jacob McDonald, Taylor Hansen, and Austin Bennett; five great-grandchildren; brother, Bob (Judy) Havisto; and many nieces and nephews.
