Edna Delores Collette

Edna Collette, age 92, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Baxter. A visitation for Edna will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2020 at Nelson- Doran Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. following the visit at Lake Edward Cemetery.

Edna was born on the family farm in Clearwater County, near Gonvick Minnesota, to Sophie and Jacob Wildmo.  She attended a one room school near Berner.  She was baptized, confirmed, and married at Bethany Lutheran Church in Berner.  She married Ralph Collette on May 24, 1952, and after living a short time in Hibbing, moved to Brainerd in 1953.  She and Ralph joined Trinity Lutheran Church and were very active for their entire lives. Together they built their lake home on North Long Lake in 1966-67 and enjoyed raising their 5 boys there. After Ralph passed away in 1992, Edna enjoyed many more years on the lake before moving into assisted living late in life.

Edna is survived by sons Mark (Lisa), Steve (Cheryl), Tim (Barb) and Paul; 17 grandchildren, Rishona, Travis, Ryan, Branden, Tyler, Jacque, Courtney, Ashlee, Tanner, Tara, Conner, Nikki, Aana, Chelsey, Tommy, Alex and Samantha; and 33 great grandchildren. She is preceded by parents Sophie and Jacob Wildmo, Husband Ralph, Son Bob, Grandson Ben, Sisters Alice Lundmark and Marie Hofstad and brothers Art Wildmo and Roy Wildmo.
