Florence J. Rosenkranz

Florence Rosenkranz, 90, of Brainerd, died Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Good Samaritan Society – Bethany. 

Florence was born October 17, 1929, in Brainerd, where she became a lifelong resident.  She graduated from Washington High School in 1947.  Florence Zahratka married Lloyd Rosenkranz on December 20, 1950 with a service at the Presbyterian Church in Brainerd with Pastor Paul Hendricks officiating. Florence worked for 28 years at SuperValu in the meat department. 

Florence enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and dancing to Lloyd’s music.

Florence is survived by her daughter, Darcy; son, Greg; grandchildren, Shawn (Alissa) Macheel, Tanya (Mark) Erdman, Shae (Kristina) Macheel, and Alicia Christensen; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; brother, Melvin Zahratka; sisters, Doris Clark and Mabel Engholm; sister-in-law, Dorothy Zahratka; and brother-in-law, Alva Clark. 

Services for Florence will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Good Samaritan Society – Bethany in Brainerd.  Interment will take place at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery.
