Herbert Maurice Kretzmann

Herbert Kretzmann, 78, of Brainerd, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at his home.

Herb was born May 9, 1942, the son of Don and Adeline Kretzmann.  After high school, Herb was a longtime employee of Potlatch, and as he predicted they closed their doors as he retired.  He was a Golden Eagle at the Eagle’s Club in Brainerd.  Herb had a crazy sense of humor, was always there for his family, and was dearly loved.  He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his children, Debbie (Greg) Struthers, Brenda (Todd) Crist, Paul Kretzmann, and Fred (Ray) Kretzmann; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Alan Kretzmann; sister, Kathi Nubbe; brother-in-law, Gerald Brown; many nieces and nephews; and his long time friend, Diane Pintok.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sharon Brown; and granddaughter, Tanya Struthers.

A Celebration of Herb’s Life will be held from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Nelson – Doran Funeral Home.  Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2020.
