Jade lived life to the fullest and lit up every room she entered. She enjoyed singing and songwriting, poetry, and people. Her family and friends were extremely important to her, and she constantly created special bonds – making everyone around her feel special and valued. Jade moved to Austin, TX in 2015 where she lived life on her own terms as the free spirit she was, making an impact on all who knew her-in Minnesota and in Texas. Jade loved the outdoors, loved hiking and exploring and was always up for any adventure and never backed down from a challenge. Close friend of the family, Sabra Love, summed it up beautifully, “I’m not going to say ‘Rest in Peace’ because for me, Jade wasn’t the resting type. Jade was all fireworks. She was all that is awe and wonder, color, and spark. Jade was big and bright, and it is my hope that wherever her spirit goes she will boom and sparkle, be loud and shine bright, leaving a trail of beautiful light in her wake…”
Jade is survived by her mother, Tonya Heldt (Donny Peterson) of Brainerd; brother, Alex Heldt of Las Vegas, NV; grandma, Suzanne Martin; Aunt, Kristine Polzer (Steve); cousins, Mya and Sophia Polzer; and her stepsiblings, Ben (Erica) Peterson and Kayela (Forrest) Schofield; she is also survived by her father Josh (Marcie) Heldt; and stepsiblings, Christian Larsen, Anna Mae Leibold, and Foster, Adeline, and Kessler Heldt; Grandpa and Grandma Bob and Jill Heldt; uncle, Jeremy (Andrea) Heldt, cousin, Lulu Heldt and uncle Jared (Crystal) Heldt and cousins, Macanzie, Maleia, and Weston Heldt. Jade was preceded in death by her Grandfather Jack Schmitz.
