Lorna Irene (Kleinschmidt) Klein

Lorna Irene Klein, age 90, of Brainerd, died on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 in her home.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd. A visitation will be on Thursday, August 11 from 4-7:00 p.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd and for one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens also in Brainerd.

Lorna was born to Henry and Angelina (Krueckeberg) Kleinschmidt on March 2, 1932, in Brainerd. She had many hobbies to keep herself busy; she enjoyed gardening, canning, painting, decorating cakes, bowling with her husband, and camping and fishing with her family. She was a helpful, loving, and caring mom and grandma. One of her favorite activities was baking with her family. She was very involved in Zion Lutheran Church, and loved to partake in a number of clubs and activites.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Richard ‘Chub’; four children, Cheryl (Clyde) Wilson, Mike (Heidi) Klein, Jeff (Wendy) Klein, Angie (Dave) Farrand; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild and many other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by two children, Linda and Tom Klein; brother, Allan Kleinschmidt and nephew, Bruce Kleinschmidt.
