Mary Lee “Fuzzy” Falconer, age 87, of Brainerd, died Friday, March 26, 2021 peacefully at her home with her loving husband by her side. A memorial service for Fuzzy will be held at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 1 p.m. Visitation will take place one hour before the service.
Fuzzy was born on June 23, 1933 in Devil’s Lake, ND to Floyd “Doc” and Laura Williams. She graduated from St. James Academy in New Rockford, ND. Fuzzy worked for Home Gas in Fargo and The Fargo Forum. She moved to Grand Forks where she met and married Jim Falconer. Fuzzy was active in the American Legion, VFW and the Eagles. She worked for Gambles. In 1962 the couple moved to Thief River Falls and Fuzzy worked at Northwestern Hospital. In 1963 they moved to Brainerd and Fuzzy worked at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Stegner Hendrickson, McNutt, and Collin Fritz & Associates. She also operated her own secretarial services.
Fuzzy is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Dick Williams; one sister, Nona Johns of Los Angeles, CA; and her daughter, Pam Svendsen of Brainerd. She is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter, Jeri (Greg) Holst of San Diego, CA; son, Jim “Chip” (Amy) Falconer of Staples; her brother, Michael Williams of Pillager; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
