May (Perpich) Ehrich

May “Sis” M. Ehrich, age 89, of Brainerd, died on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church. Friends and family are invited to gather for one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

May was born on May Day of 1932 in Irondale Township, to Louis and Margaret (Stimach) Perpich. She graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School, where she met her husband of 66 years, Fred. May was a loving and playful mom, wife, and grandma, and the best ‘prayer warrior’ of all time. She excelled as a bank teller and loved visiting and interacting with all of her customers. May loved gardening, completing puzzles, playing cards and fishing with Fred.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; two daughters, Stephanie (Jeff) Bangs and Paula (Thor) Ehrich Raarup; four grandsons, Anders, August, Axel and Asa Raarup; furry granddog, Dio; and many other family members and friends.

May was preceded in death by her nine siblings, Mary, Milo, John, Viola, Frank, Joe, Louie, George, and Myron.

Arrangements have been completed by Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
