Norma was born on August 30, 1942 to Myron and Mildred (Wing) Schneider in Sleepy Eye. After graduating from Comfrey High School, she attended Gustavus Adolphus College for nursing. This is where she met her husband, Bruce. They married on February 22, 1969. Norma filled the role of ‘Pastor’s Wife’ perfectly. Her homemade cooking and sewing skills could not be beat. She could satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. She was a phenomenal mother, and not just to her own children. She was kind, empathetic, caring, and loving. This was proven in the way she lived her life to serve others. She had the ability to connect with anybody and everybody she met. Norma was an angel on earth, and her light shone through to all who love her.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bruce; three children, Hans Miller, Karin (Bill) Wagner, and Britt (Adam) Dewey; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Hunter, Kieda, Brendan, Svea, Sophia, Anya, Elora, Emma, Bode and Moraina; siblings, Marlys (Ralph) Swenson, and Marvin (Susan) Schneider; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; and daughter, Kirsten Miller.
Memorials are preferred to Gustavus Adolphus College – the Department of Nursing.
Arrangements are with the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd.
