Paula Jean Shirley Gronholz, 57, of Pillager, passed away with family at her side on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 23, 2023, at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church in Nisswa. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior and stay for a luncheon to follow. Private interment will take place at a later date.
Paula was born December 11, 1965, in Le Center, the daughter of James and Mary (Zins) Gronholz. From the moment she burst into the world, you knew she was a special gift from God. Paula had a light and laughter that was infectious. Her mischievous nature led to a little conniving and several secret plans – secrets she was terrible at keeping. She loved to dance, watch TV, and play cards or Rummikub. She had encyclopedic knowledge of Princess Diana, Elvis, and the Wizard of Oz. Paula was truly an angel on earth her family and friends felt blessed to have in their lives. And they picture her now shakin’ things up in heaven.
She will be dearly missed by her sisters, Deb (Crystal) Gronholz and Jolene (Mike) Connors; brother, Curt (Deb) Gronholz; one niece; five nephews; 10 great-nieces; and nine great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Linda and Beata; and nephew, Trent.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations sent in Paula Gronholz's name to the Special Olympics. You could also send the Special Olympics donations to Deb Gronholz, 12314 Lower Sylvan Road SW, Pillager, MN 56473, and she will forward to Special Olympics.
