Ron Clarence Oseland

Ron “Ozzie” Oseland, age 85, of Nisswa, died on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Northern Lakes Senior Living in Baxter. A memorial for Ron will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home with a lunch following. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. The family requests that no flowers be sent. Please instead donate to a charity of your choice in memory of Ron.

Ron was born to Clarence and Evelyn (Ronn) Oseland on March 20, 1936 in Duluth. He graduated from Brainerd High School in 1954. He worked in the paper industry in Brainerd and Cloquet, eventually moving to Stevens Point and Appleton, WI where he continued his work in the paper industry. For the last 30 years, Ron and his wife, Bunny have lived on Pelican Lake in Nisswa. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carving wood birds and tinkering with other wood projects. To his wife and children, Ron was devoted, supportive and always willing to give advice.

Ron is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bunny; four children, Craig (Cindy) Oseland, Chriss (Kara Miller) Oseland, Curt (Johanna) Oseland, Cara (George) deUrioste; six grandchildren, Aaron, Emma, Moxy and Alex Oseland and Shana and Sonya deUrioste; two greatgrandchildren, Ali Oseland and Margaret McNally. He was preceded in death by a son, Cliff Jon Oseland; brother, Richard Oseland; and sister, Beverly Poye.
