Ronald John Loss, 78, of Pierz, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at CentraCare – St. Benedict’s Community Homes in St. Cloud. A Celebration of Ronnie’s Life will be held at a later date. Ron will be interred next to his brother Nicki at Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.
Ron was born August 23, 1942, in Brainerd, the son of John and Phyllis (Chrysler) Loss. After high school, Ron attended St. Cloud Technical College and worked at The Honda House. Later he returned to Brainerd where he enjoyed many years as a roofing contractor for Thelen Roofing Company. After retiring, Ron was able to pursue his many interests and passions full time. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, most often taking one of his beloved beagles hunting with him. He had a lifelong passion for learning. An avid reader, he enjoyed sharing his knowledge with friends. He spent his life living in the country, where Ron canned fruits and vegetables from his bountiful gardens and appreciated the beauty of nature and wildlife around him. He helped construct and maintain a hunting shack in Montana – a spot where he cherished time with friends.
He is survived by his sisters, Pam Loss (Dan Ricker) and Terri Reetz (David); nephews and nieces; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Nicholas Loss and Darold Loss; and numerous uncles and aunts.
