Obituary

Sean "Chad" Chadwick DeVilliers, age 49 resident of Brainerd, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday August 31. He was born March 2, 1974 in Edina, Minnesota to Barbara DeVilliers and Bruce Peterson.

Chad's whole life was his Daughter Ireland. He was an amazing father, son, brother and uncle. A devoted Christian, he loved playing hockey, disc golf, music, and people. His personality was larger than life!

Chad is survived by his daughter, Ireland; mother, Barbara; father, Bruce (Terri) Peterson; sister, Chanda (Rocky) DeVilliers and their children Rockford and Reagan; sister, Stacy Chambers and her children Erich, Matthew, Emily, and Grace.

A celebration of Chad's life will be held at noon Friday, September 8, 2023 at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services.

The family would appreciate assistance with funeral costs in lieu of flowers.
