Michael Todd Koering

Michael Todd Koering, age 38, resident of Brainerd, died on Wednesday, July 11th, 2018.

Michael will be greatly missed and his memory will be cherished by his 3 children, Morgan (11), Ryan (9), and Logan (5); mother of his children, Jennifer (Warner) Koering; mother, Kathy (Koering) Holm; father, Todd Thompson; two brothers, Josh (Erin) Fallon and Jerod (Erika Kohl) Fallon; grandparents, Bob and Mary Koering; godparents, Doug and Diane Gilson; special friend, Adam Jelen; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Michael served his country proudly in the U.S. Army from April 1, 2000 until the time of his death. He was deployed to Afghanistan from January 2010 to August 2011 and again May 2004 to April 2005.

Visitation will be from 4-7p.m. on Tuesday, July 17th at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. The funeral will be held 10a.m. on Wednesday, July 18th at Camp Ripley Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.

Military honors will be provided by Minnesota Veterans Cemetery Honor Guard.
